UCF Knights +7.5 Spread against the SMU Mustangs
Reasoning: The UCF Knights have won 4 of their last 5 games. With one of those wins coming against the Memphis Tigers, who just beat SMU this past Saturday. Opposing the Knights, we have the Mustangs who have lost their last two games to two in-conference unranked teams in Memphis and Houston. They are on a downward spiral and the Knights won’t make it easy for them tomorrow at noon. The spread is set at 7.5 and therefore, I like the Knights to keep it competitive and cash the pick even if they lose by a TD.
#6 Michigan Wolverines -1.5 Spread against the Penn State Nittany Lions
Reasoning: The Michigan Wolverines have looked flawless this season not considering their 37-33 loss against Michigan State. They have won every other game this season by comfortable margins against their in-conference opponents, beating Indiana, Wisconsin and Nebraska. On the flip side of the ball, we have a Penn State team who lost 3 in a row before being able to catch their breath against an underwhelming Maryland team last week. Their losses came against Ohio State, Iowa and the famous 9-overtime loss to Illinois. Those are some tough opponents, however, the bottom line is that Michigan have been the better team not just lately, but all season long. They will do anything to get this win and improve their chances at qualifying for the College Football Playoffs.
#11 Texas A&M -2.5 Spread against #15 Ole Miss
Reasoning: The Aggies have won their last 4 games. They are also coming off of their second most impressive win of the season with a dominant performance by the defense as they beat the Auburn Tigers 20-3 at home. I referred to that win as only their second most impressive win because they beat the best team in the nation to spark this 4-win streak. Their 41-38 win against the Alabama Crimson Tide was arguably the most impressive win of this College Football season. On the flip side, we have an Ole Miss team that has lived up to expectations. However, they still lost to the same Auburn team that lost to the Aggies last week. Their loss against the Tigers was the week before the Tigers went on to get crushed by the Aggies. Therefore, I picked Texas A&M with confidence.
