NBA Betting 101: Knowing the important sports-gambling terms

Indiana Pacers Money-line against the Charlotte Hornets

Reasoning: The Indiana Pacers are coming off their most embarrassing loss of the season. They lost by a sizeable margin to the Detroit Pistons while being 6 point favorites for the game. No other team needs a comeback game more than them. I believe that the Pacers will end the Hornets little hot streak after they defeated the Warriors and Wizards. I love teams to bounce back after not covering the spread as favorites. It has a 73% chance of covering across all major 4 sports when a favorite does not cover the previous game. Therefore, I believe that the Pacers will make up for their previous loss with a win tonight in Charlotte.

Indiana Pacers: What does the future look like for the Pacers?

Denver Nuggets Money-line against the Chicago Bulls

Reasoning: The Denver Nuggets suffered a tough loss last night against a Philly team without Joel Embiid. Their coach, Mike Malone, was so upset during the game, that he was eventually ejected in the third quarter. Denver was a 7 point favorite heading into that game and was losing for the whole game. I believe we will see a bounce back very similar to how the Pacers will bounce back as they were both outright losers will being the favorites in their previous games. The 73% law still applies here in the same fashion, and therefore, I like the Nuggets to bounce back against a regressing Bulls team.

Los Angeles Clippers -3.5 Spread against the New Orleans Pelicans

Reasoning: The Los Angeles Clippers are coming off a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies where the odds were even for both teams. Although they were not technically favorites in that game, I still like the Clippers to bounce back against the Pelicans who have looked nothing short of the worst team in basketball. They truly miss Zion and most games, Brandon Ingram cannot come away with a win on his own. Expect a bounce back win here by the Clippers.
