With WrestleMania season officially here I’ve decided to create my dream card for the event Dylan and I will be attending in just two months time.
Disclaimer: I’m not making a full card just matches I’d like to see at the event.
AJ Styles Vs Edge (First time ever)
Since Edge returned at the Royal Rumble in 2020 fans have been clamoring to see him in the ring with the phenomenal one, AJ Styles. This would be the first time the two have a match together as AJ styles didn’t join WWE until 2016, five years later after Edges retirement. Both men want the match so let’s make it happen Vince!
Roman Reigns Vs Brock Lesnar (Universal Title Match)
Am I crazy about this match? No. But it’s already confirmed to be happening after a not so shocking Royal Rumble win for Brock Lesnar. For the third time since 2015, Roman Reigns Vs Brock Lesnar for a world title will headline WrestleMania. We already know the match will be great, it’s just unfortunate WWE isn’t using Roman Reigns to create a new star. Nonetheless, I’m excited to see the tribal chief finally defeat the beast at WrestleMania.
Seth Rollins Vs Kevin Owens or Bobby Lashley (WWE Championship Match)
Seth Rollins in my opinion is on the best run of his career right now. His feud with Edge in 2021 really elevated his character and his in-ring work has always been masterful. He’s earned a world title run and with the elimination chamber premium live event coming up in a few weeks we could see the title change hands once again. If Rollins does win the title, matchups against Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley could be intriguing ones. Rollins and Owens have recently become heel acquaintances on TV so the story is already there. As for a matchup with Bobby Lashley, it would be one of the bigger matches WWE can put on for the showcase of the immortals.
Drew McIntyre Vs John Cena
I’ve been realistic with the card so far but now it’s time to really dive deep into the dream match scenarios. Drew McIntyre just hasn’t felt the same since his move to Smackdown. He’s had meaningless match after meaningless match and if WWE truly sees him as a top BabyFace they need to give him something big for WrestleMania. That’s where John Cena comes in. Obviously we don’t know if Cena will even be available for Mania with his busy schedule but let’s just pretend he his. Cena is perfect opponent for McIntyre, he’s a big name that can put Drew over and it will still be an exciting match.
Big E Vs Goldberg
Since winning the WWE Championship in September the booking of Big E has just been down right disappointing. He didn’t feel important as champion and his booking reflected that. He was pinned at Day 1 in the Fatal 5 way and has since been moved back to Smackdown with his New Day partners Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. A match against Goldberg could do wonders for Big E as a sort of passing of the torch moment for E himself who loved Goldberg as a child. Big E deserves this match after not being given a fair shot to be the great champion he could’ve been.
Becky Lynch Vs Bianca Belair or Liv Morgan
To complete my dream matches for WrestleMania 38, I’d love to see Becky Lynch Vs Bianca Belair or Liv Morgan, maybe even both. Belair is arguably the most over woman on Raw and Liv Morgan is a rising star who can be made with a championship win over Becky at WrestleMania. Yes, we’ve seen both of these women square up against Becky recently, but with a weak raw women’s division these are the two most viable challengers for the showcase of the immortals.
