Long time WWE superstar Cesaro has quietly left the company.
Per Pwinsider Cesaro and WWE could not come to terms on a new deal which led to Cesaro moving on from the company. This is huge news as nobody even really knew that his contract was expiring.
Cesaro’s run in WWE was very inconsistent as it seemed like there never was any true direction for him and his character. He signed with WWE in 2011 and over his WWE career won the United States Championship once and was a seven time Tag Team Champion. He had multiple big time matches with the likes of John Cena, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, and most recently Roman Reigns.
Cesaro’s last televised match was on the February 11th edition of Friday Night Smackdown where he lost to Happy Corbin. He was a name that was noticeably not involved in this year’s Royal Rumble match which did leave fans wondering what was next for Cesaro.
AEW would be the perfect landing spot for Cesaro and the company would benefit so much with having him on their roster. Whoever ultimately ends up picking up Cesaro is getting a star and a main event caliber wrestler.
There are so many possibilities for where Cesaro will end up next and we will continue to update you as news breaks. Leave a comment or let us know on our socials where you think Cesaro is going to end up!
