Eastern Conference – Jordan
Atlanta Hawks
Boom- PG, Trey Young, Oklahoma. I really want to say bust, however he has star potential.
Bust- SG, Kevin Huerter, Maryland. I just don’t see him being more then a 6.5 ppg player.
Boston Celtics
Boom- C, Robert Williams, Texas A&M. Big time rim protector, should not have fell to 27.
Bust- None.
Brooklyn Nets
Boom- SF, Dzanan Musa, Croatia. I believe he will be a reliable shooter in the league for years to come.
Bust- None.
Charlotte Hornets
Boom- PG, Devonte Graham, Kansas. With Kemba’s departure looming and Tony Parker’s mentorship, this kid could be a stud.
Bust- SF, Arnoldas Kulboka, Italy. I think he will be another 2nd rounder that gets lost in the wind.
Chicago Bulls
Boom- C, Wendell Carter Jr, Duke. He may be the best big in this draft.
Bust- SF, Chandler Hutchison, Boise State. I don’t trust the Bulls with wing players, and don’t believe he will be consistent enough in the league.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Boom- PG, Collin Sexton, Alabama. Young bull will be just that.
Bust- None.
Detroit Pistons
Boom- SG, Bruce Brown, Miami. I think he could be a valuable bench player.
Bust- None.
Indiana Pacers
Boom- PG, Aaron Holiday, UCLA. I think he will be better then Justin, but not as good as Jrue. Still solid. 82 Overall in 2k.
Bust- PF, Alize Johnson, Missouri State. I don’t envision him really panning out.
Miami Heat
Boom- None. (No picks in the draft)
Bust- None. (No picks in the draft)
Milwaukee Bucks
Boom- SG, Donte DiVincenzo, Villanova. Effective, athletic sharpshooter.
Bust- None.
New York Knicks
Boom- SF, Kevin Knox, Kentucky. As soon as the fans started booing, his All Star birth was confirmed.
Bust– None.
Orlando Magic
Boom- C, Mo Bamba, Texas. I mean the guy had a song made about him before he even got drafted. If thats not fire I don’t know what is.
Bust- SF, Melvin Frazier, Tulane. I’m not a fan, he can’t really score. I feel like his 2k ceiling is like a 70.
Philadelphia 76ers
Boom- SG, Zhaire Smith, Texas Tech. Not only will he be impactful, they acquired a future first rounder (Miami Heat 2021 ) from the Suns.
Bust– None.
Toronto Raptors
Boom- None. (No picks in the draft)
Bust- None. (No picks in the draft)
Washington Wizards
Boom- SG, Troy Brown, Oregon. I don’t think he will be great, but he won’t be a total bust.
Bust- PG, Issuf Sanon, Slovenia. Late 2nd rounder, my expectations are very low.
Western Conference – Dylan
Utah Jazz
Boom – SG, Grayson Allen, Duke. The only problem with Allen is his attitude. As long as he works on his attitude, he has a bright future in the NBA.
Bust – None. The player Utah selected in the second round was traded to the Houston Rockets.
Los Angeles Lakers
Boom – C, Moritz Wagner, Michigan. Wagner is great in the paint and is gonna be a key factor in the rebounding stat line for L.A.
Bust – None.
San Antonio Spurs
Boom – SG, Lonnie Walker IV, Miami. Lonnie Walker honestly should’ve been drafted earlier than pick 18, but this was a real steal for San Antonio. Walker has potential to be rookie of the year.
Bust – None.
Houston Rockets
Boom – PG, De’Anthony Melton, USC. Melton is a great Point Guard and will do well behind Chris Paul.
Bust – None. (No pick in the first round)
Los Angeles Clippers
Boom – PG, Shai Gilgeous- Alexander. He has great size for a point guard that plays great defense. Trading for him was a great move by the Clippers.
Bust – PG, Jerome Robinson, Boston College. Robinson has potential, but I simply just don’t think he is going to fit in well on the Clippers offense.
Golden State Warriors
Boom – SF, Jacob Evans, Cincinnati. Evans is a great two way player that has the potential to be a key role player for the Warriors.
Bust – None. (No second round pick)
Oklahoma City Thunder
Boom – None. (I think the player that OKC drafted will just be average, I don’t see him being a boom or a bust.)
Bust – None. (I think the player that OKC drafted will just be average, I don’t see him being a boom or a bust.)
Denver Nuggets
Boom – C, Thomas Welsh, UCLA. Welsh is a threat at midrange and is great at spacing the floor.
Bust – PF, Michael Porter Jr, Missouri. I’m making a real bold move here saying Porter will be a bust, but his injuries have been a big factor to his career and I have a feeling that is going to continue.
Dallas Mavericks
Boom – PG, Luka Doncic, Real Madrid. Doncic is a good playmaker with a great skillset. He is going to do great in Dallas and has a lot of veterans around him to help him improve his game.
Bust – PF, Ray Spalding, Louisville. I’m not buying into the hype surrounding Spalding.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Boom – SG, Josh Okogie, Georgia Tech. Okogie is a great guard that is versatile on both sides of the court and has great athleticism. He playing great right now in the summer league.
Bust – None.
Portland Trail Blazers
Boom – None. (I think the player that Portland drafted will just be average, I don’t see him being a boom or a bust.)
Bust – None. (I think the player that Portland drafted will just be average, I don’t see him being a boom or a bust.)
Memphis Grizzlies
Boom – PF, Jaren Jackson Jr, Michigan State. Jackson is almost seven feet tall but is a great jump shooter and has fantastic defense.
Bust – None.
Sacramento Kings
Boom – Marvin Bagley III. Bagley is a gifted scorer and has very good rebounding skills as he averaged 11.1 in his last year of college.
Bust – None.
Phoenix Suns
Boom – C, Deandre Ayton, Arizona. What is he not good at? Ayton was a top three prospect heading into this years draft and this was a great choice by Phoenix, he has a bright future ahead of him.
Bust – SG, George King, Colorado. King is a good player, but I don’t think he’s going to be as good as people think.
