This series is gonna be real fun. An underdog team in the Nuggets that not a lot of people expected to come out of the second round, then we’ve got the superstar team in the Lakers. Jamaal Murray has been something else in the bubble and specifically in the playoffs. Averaging 27.1 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 5.0 APG, has had four games with 40+ points, and has helped the Nuggets come back from being down 3-1 twice. He has proven that Nikola Jokic is not the only superstar caliber player in Denver. The Lakers have also had quite the playoff run. They came out of a tough series with the Trail Blazers as Lillard was playing outstanding, then took the Houston Rockets in five games. The matchup between AD and Jokic is going to be very back and forth as the two of them are two of the best all around big men in the league and each of their style of play is very similar. I’m going to get straight to my prediction now. I simply can’t doubt LeBron James in the playoffs. I have learned that over the past however many years he has been dominating in the NBA and even more in the playoffs. I made a hot take in the second round and took the Nuggets in seven which came true, but I can’t make another hot take in this series. This Lakers team is special and LBJ is playing outstanding as usual and is likely going to be named to league MVP for the fifth time in his career. I’m expecting the Nuggets to put up a fight and I think they’ll take at least two games, but I’m picking the Lakers to become Western Conference Champions this year. Los Angeles Lakers take the series in six games. – Dylan
