What Happened?
Back in 2018 Blake Griffin was traded to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, a 2018 protected first-round pick and a 2019 second-round pick. In his first season with Detroit he led them to the Playoffs and played 75 games the most over his 3 full seasons with the team. Availability is a players greatest strength on the court and he hasn’t been available. 2019-2020 Griffin only played 18 games. Over the last few years Griffin has continued to move away from his slashing play style and has become a jump shooter. This season he is taking a career high 7.1 three pointers a game which is a career high. He hasn’t been very efficient either shooting 31% from deep. Griffins only averaging 12 PPG and it’s become clear that he is no where near the player he once was.
