What is next for Edge?

The “Rated R Superstar” Edge made his shocking return to WWE ring action at the 2020 Royal Rumble event. From there Edge feuded with long time friend and rival, Randy Orton and they had a great match at WrestleMania 36. After this match the feud continued for weeks and it just kept progressing, getting more and more intense as it went on. The feud reached its climax at Backlash where Orton and Edge faced off in the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever”. This was widely regarded as a fantastic match, but sadly the wrestling world was informed that during the match Edge suffered a torn tricep which will keep him out of the ring for several months. This was upsetting to everyone as Edge had just finally made his shocking return to the ring a few months ago, and now had to leave yet again due to injury. But he has confirmed he will be coming back and is very motivated and excited for the future. Edge has said that one of the main reasons he came back is to work with a new generation of talent that he can teach and learn from. When Edge comes back whenever that may be, I can see him being in the main event title picture over time. Vince loves Edge, the fans love Edge, he is a reliable performer and is someone who can carry and represent the company for a bit before they decide to take the title off of him. He can put on a good match with a broom. So with the variety of talent the WWE has, the possibilities are endless for the matches he could have. He has expressed interest in performing with guys like Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, Damien Priest, Seth Rollins, Ricochet, AJ Styles, Cedric Alexander, and many more. Any of these matches would be fantastic. Edge is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and would be able to put on an amazing match with anyone on the roster.
